ABOUT US

MISSION

New Life will be a wholistic, diverse ministry for the entire family grounded in love; in order to save the lost, disciple believers, build strong families and to be change agents for Christ in the community.

VISION

New Life will change lives in the world in our lifetime!

PASTOR DAHL A. MOSS, MDiv

Pastor Dahl A. Moss is from Warner Robins, Georgia and is the oldest of two children from the union of Bishop John A. Moss and Naydean R. Moss of Fort Valley, Georgia. He is married to Vallena Moss; they have two adult sons, Kahlil (Jayda) and Kyle. He holds a B.S. in Christian Ministries from Point University and a Master of Divinity from Columbia Theological Seminary in Decatur, Ga.

Together, he and Val serve as Co-Pastors at New Life Columbus (a hybrid church community). Dahl is committed to serving others and teaching the gospel in practical ways that meet people in daily lives. He has a special place for the hopeless, the broken-hearted, and those who may struggle in their walk with God.

Because he has lived in rural and urban areas, served in multiple denominations, owned businesses, and served as a chaplain in the hospital and hospice environments, he has concluded that God’s work is too broad for humans to fully understand. For this reason, he constantly seeks to participate in God’s work anywhere and at any time. He is committed to developing and promoting community that will share the love of Christ with all of humanity. He is honored to join God’s great work in the city of Columbus, Georgia. He is excited about connecting with those who are unchurched or have lost interest in church, but they love God. He believes there is a place for everyone within the body of Christ.

CO-PASTOR VALLENA "VAL" MOSS

Vallena “Val” Moss, the Co-Pastor of New Life Columbus, is a woman who loves people and is deeply committed to the Lord’s work. She is excited about the call to the area of Columbus to reach the lost and unchurched. She is the middle child of four to her parents, Pastors James and Retha Ezell.

Her secular work as a school counselor and her spiritual work as a pastor both make up her ministry and is congruent with her love for service to God and God’s people. Her educational background (Education Specialist-EdS) and work experience has afforded her the opportunity to experience many cultures in different contexts of various socio-economic statuses. She has served in several church capacities as a youth minister, armor bearer, worship team member, women's ministry leader, life group facilitator, and more.

Pastor Val understands the importance of formal ministry education and training and is currently enrolled in her second year of the Master of Divinity Program at Columbia Theological Seminary. She is the mother of two young men (Kahlil & Kyle) and a daughter-in-love (Jayda). In her past time, Pastor Val enjoys RVing, arts and crafts, reading, creative writing and nature. Above all, she enjoys joining in this calling with her husband, Senior Pastor Dahl as they share in loving and serving the people.

BRIEF HISTORY OF NEW LIFE COLUMBUS

In March of 2018, Pastor Dahl’s attention was drawn to Columbus, Georgia. As he observed the context of the city, he was led to fast and pray for the people in the community. As he and his wife prayed for the city, a series of events happened to draw them into the city. In August of 2018, they answered the call of God to move to Columbus. After they said yes to God, their steps were ordered for God’s church to be established. Since their arrival in 2022, God has connected them with both churched and unchurched individuals who are ready to grow in their faith, family, marriages, and be a part of a loving community.

New Life Columbus is a Non-denominational, hybrid-church, covered by the leadership of Bishop Geoffrey V. Dudley Sr., Ph.D, D.Min, founder of New Life in Christ Church of O’Fallon, IL. The major focus of this ministry is to respond to the Great Commission by making disciples and changing lives in our lifetime.
